For my philosophy class I'm to write a paper about one of the works we have read thus far in the year. One of said works is The Allegory of the Cave by Plato. It's essentially a ancient version of The Matrix and so that's what my paper shall be about...
Comparing and contrasting the views and underlying themes of Plato's work and The Matrix.
It should be interesting to say the least.
There is also an art exhibition going on next weekend which I am going to be featured in. This is my first gallery so I'm rather excited.. But at the same time I'm kinda nervous. It's not going to be a grand opening in the modern art museum or any garbage like that so it's not like there were be an alarming amount of people there, but even still. I hope I'm well received.
Speaking of art, I finished a painting for Brittney which is made up of posters for all of the Harry Potter movies plus a bonus because I needed to fill nine spaces.
I am genuinely excited for this summer for the sole reason of being able to create whatever I wish. Having complete creative control over a painting or something alike will be absolute bliss. That being said I think I'm going to keep everything that I've learned in the back of my mind and apply it to everything I do. Such as colour theory and perspective. Things just look better when everything is harmonious. Aesthetics baby.
The only music I have listened to in the last 3 days is classical. Fucking excellent. It truly is perfect music, it's like the wise grandfather of all music we here today. But if I were that grandfather I would be shaking my head as I beat the shit out of my sons and daughters asking myself where I went wrong. Oh well.
I'll leave you with this. It makes me happy.

"I'd been painting rats for 3 years before someone said,
'Thats clever, it's an anagram of art'
and I had to pretend I had known all along."
